Giving back together: OFC Technical’s second blood donation drive in Kasteli

On Monday, 19 October 2026, OFC Technical held its second voluntary blood donation drive at its construction site at the new Kasteli airport in Heraklion, Crete. Employees came together to support an initiative that began at the company’s headquarters and has now reached the people working on its projects.

Organised in collaboration with the Blood Donation Service of Venizeleio Hospital, the initiative aimed to strengthen the company’s blood bank and help meet the needs of patients requiring blood.

Bringing the donation drive to Kasteli gave site employees the opportunity to take part at their own workplace. Their involvement is helping turn an initiative into an ongoing commitment, making volunteering and care for others part of everyday life across the company.

During the event, the site welcomed Georgios Koutsantonakis, Deputy Mayor for Urban and Spatial Planning and Airport Affairs, and Grigorios Kalogeridis, Deputy Mayor for Water Supply and Public Lighting. Their visit provided an opportunity for the company and local government representatives to come together around a shared commitment to the community.

For OFC Technical, the value of this initiative lies in the people who make it possible and their willingness to keep contributing. By extending the programme from its offices to its construction sites, the company is creating more opportunities for its people to offer practical support to those in need.

OFC Technical warmly thanks all volunteer blood donors, the Blood Donation Service team at Venizeleio Hospital, and everyone who helped organise and deliver the event.
