CODE OF ETHICS & CONDUCT

Establishing an ethical and integral work environment is a cornerstone of OFC Technical S.A. The adoption of a Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct expresses the management’s commitment to the ethical values that should inspire its employees and all stakeholders.

Our goal:

Professionalism

  • I commit to always maintaining integrity of character, reliability, and high professional conduct in the business environment, my work, or my collaboration with other members of OFC Technical, with state officials, professionals, volunteers, citizens, companies, natural persons, or legal entities.
  • I commit to providing my services and performing my duties with responsibility, vigilance, scientific competence, safety, transparency, using appropriate means, tools, or methods that will have the maximum benefit for the beneficiaries.
  • I commit to not making any discrimination in the services I will offer or the duties I will perform, nor to being biased in favor of an idea, perception, group of people, interest, except for the distinction of the urgency of providing services or the distinction of the degree of need of the people.
  • I commit to remaining neutral and not getting involved in disputes related to political, religious, racial, sexual orientation, national origin, gender identity, disability beliefs, etc., nor expressing beliefs during the performance of my duties that may harm my fellow humans, OFC Technical, or third parties.
  • I commit to prioritizing the protection of vulnerable population groups, respecting the human dignity of all, and their human rights.
  • I commit to not causing any controversy due to emotions or beliefs and to not treating any colleague, partner, professional, volunteer, citizen, state official, legal entity, unfairly or unprofessionally, anywhere.
  • I commit to being honest in my professional collaborations and transactions and recognizing and reporting any mistakes of mine to avoid similar mistakes and prevent the worsening of damage.
  • I commit to avoiding prejudices and, where possible, conflicts of interest. When my advice or participation is requested and there is a conflict of interest, I am obligated to declare it openly and request to be removed.
  • I commit to not undertake duties or tasks for which I do not have the necessary knowledge and experience to execute, and which may cause irreparable harm to fellow humans, businesses, the environment, and situations.
  • I commit to maintaining all materials, means, and services that OFC Technical provides me with for the execution of my duties or the provision of my services, including technology and intangible goods and services, in excellent condition and functionality.

Ethical responsibility

  • I commit to working to build a healthier and safer workplace and living environment for people and businesses.
  • I commit to doing my best for public safety, health, and civil protection.
  • I commit to making decisions calmly, soberly, and safely for myself, my collaborators, the people around me, goods, and services, and to never expose them to unnecessary and uncontrollable risks.
  • I commit to objectively and fairly evaluating every effort and result of my collaborator or third party and to praising every good contribution. Similarly, if I perceive bad intent or malice from anyone in the performance of my duties or the provision of my services, I must report it confidentially and documented, objectively, and fairly to the management of OFC Technical.
  • I commit, by my example, to be a model of high professional conduct.
  • I commit to supporting every colleague and every partner, professional or volunteer or citizen, in their work and in the development of their professional and operational skills.
  • I commit and recognize that I do not replace the work of competent state officials or services, but work supportively and alongside them, with the same degree of responsibility and professionalism.
  • I commit to accepting any objective criticism or evaluation of my work and contribution from the responsible management personnel of OFC Technical.
  • I commit to doing my best to enhance the operational capability, prestige, and reliability of OFC Technical.
  • I commit to not accepting any form of bribery or corruption and to not gaining any benefit from illegal activity or from the intellectual property or work of others.
  • I commit to not disseminating or deliberately sharing false or misleading information, data, or news that may seriously jeopardize the performance of my duties, my collaboration with OFC Technical, my colleagues and/or collaborators, citizens, the reputation, prestige, reliability, and sustainability of OFC Technical.
  • I commit to not provoking or becoming involved in any way, through word or deed, in actions of abuse of power, bullying, disparagement, causing fear, inciting hatred, slander, harassment, or sexual harassment.
  • I commit to not making any public announcements or public statements for any reason concerning cases, operations, actions, collaborations, etc., undertaken or managed by OFC Technical, implying or suggesting that I represent OFC Technical, unless I have written permission from the management.
  • I commit to not using my certification from OFC Technical in an illegal or misleading way that will cause irreparable damage to the organization, and I acknowledge that the organization that issued my certificate as a member is the sole holder of it.

Confidentiality

  • I commit and take responsibility to always maintain the highest degree of confidentiality for any information, knowledge, material, action, design, strategy, business, sensitive personal data, sensitive service information, persons, events, situations, technology, innovation, which will come to my knowledge in any way, within the framework of my specific business, operational, and cooperative activity with OFC Technical.
  • I commit and accept that I will not use for personal benefit or the benefit of a third party, nor will I disclose for personal benefit or the benefit of a third party, the sources, information, technologies, plans, strategy, and data that have been made available to me in any way, the disclosure and/or use of which will expose or place OFC Technical, its purposes, innovations, work, sustainability, and beneficiaries at serious risk.
  • I commit and acknowledge that any breach of confidentiality on my part, directly or indirectly, raises legal and financial claims from OFC Technical, to recover lost revenue, reputation, profits, distinctions, innovations, market share, and any other loss incurred due to the said breach.

The responsibility of the collaboration

  • I commit to collaborating with honesty and integrity, meritocracy and fairness, with other members of OFC Technical and any third natural or legal person, ensuring maximum efficiency in the execution of my duties or the provision of my services.
  • I commit to collaborating with transparency, with verifiability where required or where requested by the management of OFC Technical, and to providing true accountability free from exaggerations or misleading elements.
  • I commit in every collaboration to be polite in speech and behavior, sincere in the information and data I present, willing to cooperate and take action, respectful of the other’s personality and diversity, patient with the situation I am managing, tolerant of the difficulties and hardships of actions.
  • I commit as a member of OFC Technical and as a responsible state official, professional, volunteer, citizen, to propose and encourage the drafting and adoption of supplementary policy where required, in accordance with the Code of Professional Ethics and Conduct.
  • I commit and recognize that all members of OFC Technical are equal and equivalent to each other, and I will not engage in any preferential or other treatment at the expense of another member in the execution of my duties or the provision of my services.
  • I commit not to criticize or comment adversely or publicly reprimand colleagues or collaborators during the performance of their duties, state officials or other professionals, or volunteers of other volunteer organizations, but in case of a mistake, misguided action, or malicious act, to report it immediately to the management of OFC Technical.

Legislation and policy

  • I commit to complying and acting to perform my duties in accordance with the circulars and policies of OFC Technical and always within legal frameworks.

Education & Training

  • I commit to keeping my knowledge and skills related to my duties updated at a high and effective level and to sharing my knowledge and experiences for the benefit of society.
